She wasn’t sure how she made it in one piece to the train station, but there she was. Sunglasses to hide the swelling and to ensure no one would start talking to her. Once aboard, Libby hoped she could sleep all the way to the city - perhaps when she arrived this would all make sense.
There were many empty seats on the night train so Libby took two at the back beside the window. Stretching her legs out in front of her, she closed her hot, sore eyes and blanked out. This time it was easy - it was always easy when there was too much to think about.
